Position Summary:
The HR Coordinator supports in the daily operations of Peconic Landing’s Human Resources Department.
Experience:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR or administrative role
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and benefits administration.
- Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality of personnel information and professionalism necessary for HR position.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook (Publisher and PowerPoint a plus but not required.)
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain employee records and new hire documentation.
- Conduct comprehensive background checks on new hires using various databases and resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of background check results and other onboarding documentation.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new and current employees changing positions, including extending offer letters, coordinating orientation sessions, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing the onboarding process, including but not limited to HIPAA and EEOC guidelines.
- Assist with the implementation of department programs and events, including new hire orientation, in-services, job fairs, etc.
- Assist in managing third-party contracts for temporary personnel.
- Greet and interact with employees in a courteous and friendly manner with customer services focus. Provide information of a general nature.

Pay Rate: $26-$28/hour
