Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing:

• Ensuring quality assurance and regulatory compliance while promoting the highest degree of quality care and service
• Overseeing coordination of members’ health and wellness needs, ancillary services and completion of assessments and individual service plans
• The ability to assess, analyze, and develop systems within the nursing department
• Having responsibility for hiring, training, disciplining, and evaluating performance and engagement of clinical team members
• Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff, and that the staff’s skills remain current
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to guide team members in providing quality clinical care
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, organize efficiently, and manage time effectively
• Previous experience with NYS DOH annual survey a plus.

Qualifications of the Director of Nursing:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Director of Nursing position
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing experience in Long Term Care with managerial responsibilities
• Must possess a current NY State License as a Registered Nurse (RN) per state regulations
• Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations for skilled nursing
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

Pay Rate: $145,000-$160,000
