About the Speaker: Beth Young, born and raised on the North Fork, is Editor and Publisher of the East End Beacon, which she founded as a website in 2013 and as a weekly area newspaper in 2017. She received a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Columbia University in 2007 and has reported for the Sag Harbor Express, Southampton Press, East Hampton Press and Times-Review Media Group. She is a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Cutchogue Fire Department.
