Cindy Pease Roe, a North Fork artist, creative journey began amidst the phosphorescent glow of jellyfish during childhood night swims off Cape Cod, sparking a lifelong commitment to environmental artistry. Cindy founded UpSculpt, a nonprofit organization with the mission to empower action against the crisis of plastic pollution by engaging the public public through art, science, and educational workshops. UpSculpting is the combination of upcycling and sculpting to create environmentally conscious art. The process removes plastics from beaches and brings attention to the problem, while creating beauty from waste.
