GREENPORT, N.Y., August 25, 2025 — Peconic Landing, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter, is pleased to announce the third annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s on the North Fork of Long Island. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds to support research and care for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 27 at 9 a.m. on Peconic Landing’s 145-acre waterside campus, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s promises to be a momentous occasion. Participants will come together to walk in unity, offering hope and strength to those living with Alzheimer’s and their loved ones. The event is an opportunity to raise awareness and bring resources to the North Fork and will raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s research and support programs.

“The Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Pickleball Tournament have become meaningful ways for our community to come together in support of a vital cause,” said Robert J. Syron, Peconic Landing’s President and CEO. “They not only raise awareness and advance research, but also provide hope and support for families facing the challenges of dementia. At Peconic Landing, we are proud to host these events and stand with our neighbors as we look toward a future free from this disease.”

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Peconic Landing will feature a scenic route, encouraging participants of all ages and fitness levels to join.
