There are four Life Plan Communities (or Continuing Care Retirement Communities) on Long Island. A Life Plan Community like Peconic Landing is a place for active, older adults that offers independent living with access to higher-level care should residents need additional support.

Cooperative structure offers you a voice

Here at Peconic Landing, our members can:
- Take part in Finance, Culinary, Buildings & Grounds, and other Committees that work directly with management to advance the community
- Vote for three fellow members to represent you on the Housing Association Cooperative Board, which works with management and the Board of Trustees to carry out Peconic Landing’s mission and vision
- Meet with the CEO three times a month at one of our Town Halls or Chats to speak up and have your voice heard

As a a not-for-profit organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code, we are:
- Dedicated to making a positive, measurable impact and improving the quality of life for those who live and work on the East End
- a vibrant community center and cultural arts hub for the East End, with many events and activities open to the public
- the largest taxpayer and second-largest employer in the Town of Southold
- committed to conservation, preservation, and sustainability, proven by our platinum-level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified expansion in 2016
