Peconic Landing is proud to serve as a host site for the International Council on Active Aging’s (ICAA) Active Aging Week, a national celebration dedicated to showcasing the benefits of living well at every age.
This week-long event will feature programs, activities, and experiences designed to highlight the vibrant, healthy, and engaged lifestyle available to older adults. From fitness and wellness workshops to cultural events and community gatherings, Active Aging Week invites people of all ages to discover new ways to stay active in mind, body, and spirit.

- Tai Chi at Brecknock Hall on Monday, 10/6 @ 9:30am. Cultivate Chi (life force) with slow gentle movement, breath awareness and focus on the mind body connection.
- Super Slow Stretch at Brecknock Hall on Tuesday, 10/7 @ 10:30am. Gentle mindful form of stretching that enhances flexibility, releases muscle tension, improves circulation and encourages the body to relax.
- Open Court Basketball and Bocce on Tuesday, 10/7 @ 2:00pm. Join in for an afternoon of fun and open play on Peconic Landing’s courts.
- Orphée Live in Concert on Tuesday, 10/7 @ 4:00pm. Enjoy a live concert by Orphée, blending pop, jazz, and French classics.
- Ticks: All You Need to Know on Thursday, 10/9 at 10:00am. Join Suffolk County’s chief entomologist, Scott Campbell, PhD, for an informative talk on ticks followed by a Q&A session.
