Silent Movie Spectacular: Grandma’s Boy – A Hal Roach production

Presented by the New York Theatre Organ Society, this 1922 classic comedy, starring the great silent film genius Harold Lloyd, was originally intended as a serious movie, but was altered by Lloyd into a comedy by adding gag scenes.

Charlie Chaplin said that “It is one of the best constructed screenplays I have ever seen on the screen.”

Bernie Anderson, silent film organist and orchestrator, has presented live accompaniments for silent films, with theatre organ and piano since 1995 and will be performing LIVE in our theatre. He will play the ‘soundtrack’ to the film while it is being screened.
