Long Island Business News has named Sandra Novick of Sag Harbor, strategic marketing consultant and Peconic Landing board member, one of 2023’s Top 50 Women in Business. Launched in 2000, this award recognizes Long Island’s top women professionals for their business acumen, mentoring and community involvement, representing the most influential women in business, government and the nonprofit fields. The award was celebrated on October 19 at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
During her career, Novick served as Chief Marketing Officer and Corporate Secretary of Bridgehampton National Bank, building the brand, advertising, community outreach and philanthropic initiatives for over a decade, and later as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Suffolk County National Bank, where she led strategic direction and development of the bank’s marketing plan, research, advertising, and branding initiatives. As an independent consultant, Novick now works with executive management teams in the New York metro and Long Island markets. Recent clients include Long Island-based community banks as well as B2B design-based companies that are leaders in their industry sectors.
Novick has been on the Board of Trustees at Peconic Landing, a life plan community in Greenport, since 2003. She served as Chair of the Board from 2016 to 2019, helping guide marketing efforts vital in maintaining Peconic Landing’s high occupancy and securing financing for the community’s $44 million expansion in 2016. She currently serves as Chair of the Board’s Marketing Committee and as a member of the Board’s Strategic Planning Committee.

Novick is a long-time supporter of several East End community organizations. She is a member of the Advisory Council of East End Arts, having served as both president and treasurer. She has also served on the Advisory Council of the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Learning Center in East Hampton and is a former Board member of Peconic Public Broadcasting, 88.3 WPPB-FM. Novick is also the founder of thehummingbirdpost.com, a lifestyle blog focused on the North Fork of Long Island and Brooklyn.
