GREENPORT, N.Y., August 23, 2023 – Peconic Landing, the East End’s only life plan community, and the Brecknock Hall Foundation are delighted to announce their popular End of Summer Celebration featuring live music and fireworks, taking place on Sunday, September 3. A rain date is scheduled for Monday, September 4.
Free to all, the event will take place behind the historic Brecknock Hall, at One Brecknock Road in Greenport. The much-anticipated evening is expected to attract hundreds of guests, bringing together Peconic Landing members, team members, and the entire East End community.
“We are thrilled to welcome our neighbors on the East End to our cherished annual celebration at Peconic Landing,” said Robert J. Syron, President and CEO of the not-for-profit organization. “We invite everyone to join us for a vibrant evening of live music and fireworks as we come together to celebrate the community spirit and unique beauty of the North Fork.”
At 7 p.m., guests will enjoy live music by the Gordon Dukes Band also known as the “Best Wedding Band.” The 10-piece band from New York City is known for their “dance-the-night-away” performances, diverse repertoire, and powerhouse vocals that will please guests of every age group. A spectacular fireworks show will follow at 8:15 p.m., launched over Peconic Landing’s community pond. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
