The North Fork Audubon presents The Wildlife of Madagascar with Bill White

The North Fork Audubon presents The Wildlife of Madagascar with Bill White

Friday, October 12th 2018 at 7:30 pm in the Peconic Landing Community Center

The event is free and open to all!

During April 2018 Bill and friends traveled four weeks throughout southern Madagascar to photograph several lemur, bird, and chameleon species, as well as endemic insect and baobab tree species that can be found nowhere else in the world. In addition, he encountered the rarely seen fossa, a puma-like carnivore and the largest living indigenous land mammal in Madagascar. Please join Bill on this journey to the ‘eighth continent’ as he shares with you its unique flora and fauna species.

Bill is the newest serving Audubon board member, and a recently retired veterinarian from the Plum Island Animal Disease Center.
